Sleeping in the air: The apparently levitating bed is kept in the air thanks to incredibly powerful magnets

Unique: The brave creation has neodymuim magnets built into each of its four corners

Work in progress: The bed is pictured, with steel cables tethering it into position, before the mattress and pillows are added as finishing touches

Under construction: The reverse side of the bed's smaller platform, showing the spaces where the powerful magnets will be placed, along with technical drawings showing how the creation was eventually put together

Held in place: The creator of the levitating bed shows a picture of the thick steel cables used to hold the frame in its 'floating' position

Base unit: The lower, bigger floor platform also played an integral part in maintaining the bed's 'levitating position'
